What is Psychological Assessment?

Psychological assessment is a systematic process aimed at understanding an individual's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and personality functioning. It involves gathering relevant information through interviews, observations, and standardized tests to evaluate various aspects of a person's psychological makeup. Our assessments are conducted by our trained professionals and can be used for diagnosing mental health needs, guiding treatment planning, assessing intellectual or academic abilities, evaluating personality traits, and informing decision-making in educational, clinical, forensic, or organizational settings. Comprehensive psychological assessment provides valuable insights into an individual's strengths, challenges, and overall psychological well-being, facilitating tailored interventions and support strategies.

Areas for Clinical Assessment

Is your child having difficulty in school and you are wondering if ADHD or learning differences are factors? Are you interested in identifying challenges in your own life? We can help you complete or understand behavioral health or neuropsychological testing, depending on your needs.

Are you having memory problems? Anger issues? Trouble functioning after a trauma such as stroke or accident? We can offer testing for a number of issues like these, in areas such as attention, decision-making, cognition and more. We can also offer diagnostic testing in personality disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and some serious mental illnesses.
